Jerramungup is a small town located in the Great Southern region of Western Australia. Here are some interesting facts about the region:
1. Jerramungup is believed to mean "place of the freshwater spring" in the local Aboriginal language.
2. The town was established in the early 1900s after the railway reached the area.
3. The region is known for its beautiful natural scenery, including the Fitzgerald River National Park which is home to over 1,800 species of plants and animals.
4. Jerramungup is a popular destination for birdwatchers, with over 190 species of birds recorded in the area.

7. In 1969, a meteorite struck a farm just outside of Jerramungup, causing a large explosion and leaving a deep crater in the ground. The area is now known as the Wolfe Creek Crater, and is a popular tourist attraction.
